DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY:
HISTORY:
Obstetrics and Gynecology Department have antenatal ward, post natal, post caesarean, family planning, pre operative, post operative, labour ward and Gynaec ward.
Periodic academic activities held in the department:
1. Minilap training for Medical Officer
2. Ultra sound training for Medical Officer
3. Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid(VIA)/VILI: Ca cervix screening training for Staff Nurse/Female Medical Officers
4. Non communicable Diseases training
5. Colposcopy training for Gynaecologists
6. CEMONC training for Staff Nurse/ANM
7. Internal death audit meeting in every month
Services Offered:
The labour ward is a tertiary care centre having 10-15 deliveries/day. It is a referral centre having 100-200 referral cases per month from surrounding PHC’s and near by GH’s. This centre manages all high risk pregnancies with 120-150 emergency LSCS per month. Ultra sound and Blood Transfusion facilities are also available.
Family planning services:
We provide temporary contraceptives like condoms, IUCD, OCP, PPIUCD and
150-175 sterilization per month
